Our registered company name is IBL limited (IBL) which holds an Australian Financial Service Licence. IBL is an unlisted
public company, a subsidiary of the Australian Institute of Architects and operates as four complementary trading entities, namely Architects Professional Risk Services, Architects Professional
Risk Underwriting Agency, Planned Professional Risk Services and Planned Professional Risk Underwriting Agency.
Through the trading division Planned Professional Risk Services (PPRS) the company has successfully managed the delivery
of insurance, risk management and claims assistance/management programs for
numerous construction professionals in Australia since 1984. We do this via our extensive access to market insurers both local and overseas as well as exclusive access to our own underwriting agency Planned Professional Risks Underwriting Agency.
Our expertise in the professional indemnity insurance industry has now been recognised via endorsements from The Australian Institute of Architects, The
Australian Institute of Quantity Surveyors and Consult Australia as a preferred broker.
PPRS has a network of branch offices throughout Australia enabling staff to deliver insurance products and provide exceptional service.

Our History
Planned Professional Risk Services was established in 1984 to provide professionals in the design and construction industry with access to quality professional indemnity insurance and risk
management services. Planned Professional Risk Services continues to expand its operations through the distribution of a range of specialist services to construction industry
professionals such as engineers, building designers, project managers, town planners, construction managers, landscape architects, interior designers, drafts persons, management
consultants and quantity surveyors.
Up until March 2000, Planned Professional Risk Services operating purely as a broker for the placement of construction professional’s professional indemnity insurance.
With the success of the Architects PI Facility run by our associated division the company decided to replicate the benefits for construction and miscellaneous professionals by launching Planned Professional
Risks Underwriting Agency (PPRUA). The primary purpose of PPRUA is to provide a professional indemnity insurance facility with the security of a reputable insurer, competitive
premiums, extensive policy coverage and in-house claims management.
Planned Professional Risk Services representatives have the option of either sourcing PPRUA Facility quotations or sourcing quotations via reputable reputable market insurers or both.
PPRS has also been active in the international insurance market for many years through its parent company and via its shareholding investments
in broking companies in Hong Kong and China.
Our People
Our unique blend of experienced insurance professionals and legally qualified risk managers and claims managers ensure all staff are equipped to provide advice on most industry issues.
Our Risk Managers often participate in meetings with the Australian Institute of Architects, Consult Australia, Engineers Australia,
insurers and other groups engaging in discussions regarding legislative changes and work practices affecting professionals in the construction industry.
